Welcome to Cat of the Week! This week we are graced by the presence of Mami, a former feral cat who now lives with her mama, Sinead, and fur sibling, Morty, in San Jose, CA. Mami may look like she's always sad, but she's actually a totally happy cat! I bet she gets all of the extra treats with that face. You can see what I'm talking about by going to her Instagram, @mami_and_morty, and by reading down below!
Here's what Sinead has to say about Mami:
"Mami was found in a dumpster in Concord, CA with her feral mama and two brothers. Mama was TNR'd (trapped and released), and her other two brothers are safe and in happy forever homes.
"Since she is feral, she has a very skittish side to her personality, but as you can see in her photos, she is no stranger to attention! She turned 3 a few days ago but her ability to socialize and seek affection have really improved in the last 6 months. She has the most expressive puss in boot eyes!
"Morty was rescued in San Jose, CA and they are the best of friends! He has showed her how to relax and behave like a cat! They both love grooming each other, playing, and body slamming each other."
Sounds like an ideal friendship to me.
Thank you for stopping by, Mami (and Morty!)!
